The job
Stonemason / Waterjet Operator role in Campbellfield, VIC with a leading kitchen designer and manufacturer producing high-quality cabinetry, stone benchtops and glass splashbacks for major domestic home builders, private builders and renovators across Victoria and Queensland.
Your key duties
- Operate CNC Waterjet machines safely and efficiently on natural stone and porcelain
- Load and unload materials using proper manual handling techniques
- Read and interpret technical drawings to mark and machine pieces accurately
- Maintain consistent production of high-quality stone and porcelain components
- Make basic CNC programming adjustments as needed
- Identify and troubleshoot production issues proactively
- Keep the workshop clean, safe and organised
Health & Safety — silica controls
- This role involves materials that may generate respirable crystalline silica (RCS)
- Wet cutting and dust suppression systems are used at all times
- Dry processing, compressed air and dry sweeping are prohibited on site
- RPE and PPE must be worn correctly in all designated areas (clean-shaven where required for tight-fitting masks)
- Pre-employment medical and ongoing health monitoring participation is required
What you'll need
- Waterjet and/or CNC operating experience (unsupervised)
- Knowledge of CNC tooling for stone and porcelain
- Strong reading of technical drawings
- Problem-solving and attention to detail
- Ability to lift and handle heavy materials safely
- Driver's licence and reliable car
